Position Title Licensing Manager, IMG Licensing Japan Division (Japan/IMG-Tokyo)
Location Tokyo, Japan
Position Full-time/permanent employee
Start ASAP / replacement
Reporting to Vice President of Licensing Japan Division, IMG-Tokyo
Main Responsibilities Licensing Manager is responsible for development new efficient business mainly MGM properties, Pepsi, UFC, 20th FOX, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, and the other new opportunities. Also will manage the existing business for the responsible properties to maintain the expected revenue to company.

Specific Responsibilities
Management of existing license business.
Management includes monitoring of QC process, solicit of royalty report, analysis of sales performance, and support for marketing effort for licensees.
Development of new business for the said properties and any other new opportunities, including contract terms negotiation and legal process with IMG’s Cleveland, UK, USA office.
Support marketing efforts based on marketing calendars by licensors in terms of creating marketing ideas and establishing process.
Development of relationships with key retailers to implement unique and effective retail promotion for the said properties.
Responsible for the projection and achieving the budget for the Division.
Development of synergies with the other new / existing licensing programs and staffs within the Division.

Qualifications and abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organization skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task
Must be attentive and patient
Fluent in English (TOEIC 800 or above)
Not job-hopper but who has long careers in each companies
Must have Consumer Product industry work experience
Any of Sales background are mandatory requirement, Licensing, Fashion related Consumer Product or Retail Buyer.
Brand management or fashion background is preferable
Excellent Microsoft Office skills (word, excel, outlook, power point)

Unusual Challenges or Circumstances e.g. shift(s)/ unsocial hours / travel etc
Extended office hours in the build up to events and occasional weekends
Working with the Rugby team based in the UK and flexibility in dealing with different time-zones
Event hours are long and hard but rewarding and done as part of a team
